Progressive Defense Academy will be hosting a private training session at the Cindy's Hot Shots in Severn MD. This course will provide guidance and reinforce fundamentals while prepping students for the MD HQL/WCHP live fire exam who need it.

As part of our continuing training program for our students, we’ve put together a tutorial live fire course to prepare you for the WCHP live fire test. This tutorial session will replicate the conditions for the live fire test and illustrate any problems that you may have prior to the test in a stress-free environment.

Introduction to handguns with an extensive review of fundamentals followed by live fire.

This is training that focuses on advanced fundamentals by providing drills that allow shooters to advance in their monthly training. It is designed for serious students who want to add to their training regime. Instructors will be on hand as RSOs and available to provide correction as needed or requested.

Thank you and welcome to Progressive Defense Academy’s Maryland HQL course. This is the introduction to you becoming an educated and responsible firearm owner. We are committed to providing professional, safe and comprehensive instruction that meets and exceeds Maryland State requirements.

In addition to meeting the requirements for Maryland HQL and WCHP, this class will qualify you to apply, we'll help, for CCW in PA and WV which will cover approximately 31 additional states.

This class is for any Maryland resident who wishes to legally wear, carry or transport a handgun. You are required to possess and maintain on your person a valid Maryland Handgun Wear and Carry Permit (handgun permit) issued by the Maryland Department of State Police. This class meets that qualification and will also qualify you to carry for additional states. We will advise on the application process.

This class provides the information necessary for current MD WCHP holders to renew their license. It covers MD law, the use of deadly force and the psychological and legal consequences of the use of deadly force.
